Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates tendered his resignation yesterday after parliament rejected the government’s deficit-cutting plan. Thanks again for making the time for us today — your analysis really drove the point home about the way in which liquidity infusions have been used in different ways in different economies and that that ultimately will dictate the rate of withdrawal and the ability of the financial sector to withstand it.
